Fundraising for young adults with rare cancers
In my short time in medical school at the University of Michigan, I've met many patients who have to put their lives on hold during their treatment and follow-ups. The Allyson Whitney Foundation provides Life Interrupted Grants to young adults with rare cancers. These grants help cover rent, travel costs, and missed wages when making it to frequent doctor's visits. In addition, the foundation provides research funding to scientists looking for cures to rare cancers in young adults. I hope you'll consider donating to this wonderful cause!
Dear all,
Thank you for the generous support you've put into this fundraiser! We're just about one week from the deadline, and we're so close! Each Wednesday when I go on my longest training runs, I think about how awesome you all are for supporting this great cause and I think of course about the young adults with rare cancers that we're helping to support.
Next week will be my longest training run (20 mi!) before the actual race in April. Thanks again for supporting and if you're up for it, please share the fundraising page with friend and family!
Much love,
Sid
Our fundraiser has reached it's goal, thank you all for the support!
