Heather Hussey's Fundraiser for the 50th Anniversary BMW BERLIN MARATHON

In a split second your life can change forever. Ally inspires us all to dream bigger, laugh louder, and live better. And this is the motivation behind the amazing work of the Allyson Whitney Foundation, which is a tribute to Allyson in honor of her memory and the person she was.
I’m so excited to be taking part in this fundraiser in support of my journey to the 50th Anniversary BMW BERLIN MARATHON, while raising funds for the Allyson Whitney Foundation (AWF). It is an organization that provides young adult cancer patients (16-36) with ‘Life Interrupted Grants™' to ease their financial burden, so that they can concentrate their energy on healing. AWF believes ALL Cancers Matter, even rare ones! Their pursuit is to shine a light on a quiet age demographic, as young adults have a unique genetic makeup of cancer. Not only do they help with the financial toxicity due to a cancer diagnosis, they fund innovative research and deliver HOPE comfort bags to oncology suites. As an all volunteer foundation, your support means the world to the organization and to cancer patients. It is a cause I feel passionately about. I’ll need all the help I can get, so even if you can’t donate at this time, please share my fundraising page with your friends and family to help me get the word out there.

Ally’s pursuit, after her cancer diagnosis, was to “help others in this situation, whether it be financially, physically, or most important, mentally.” The Allyson Whitney Foundation's pursuit is to make this happen. We can’t do it alone, the need is great, and there are many more young adults to help.
