Allyson Whitney Foundation Big Sur

I am running the Big Sur to raise money for the Allyson Whitney Foundation. The Big Sur will be my 7th Marathon! I know running 26.2 miles sounds like a lot...but battling cancer is definitely a lot more!! I truly believe that if we all work together, there will be cure!!

    Happy 2019!

Wow! Last update was back in October....The Chicago Marathon was awesome....but the end of the month didn't end so well. I would up with a meniscus tear...but the most amazing dr. had me repaired within a week...and I'm almost done with my physical therapy rehab..and just in time to start training for my Boston to Big Sur! This past weekend my long run was 4.2. I was so excited!!

I have been actively fundraising for AWF as well as sharing the important work that AWF does for others.

If you haven't donated, please take a minute to support the Allyson Whitney Foundation. You will be making a difference.

AND for a $40.00 (plus $5.00 for shipping) you can sport your very own AWF 1/4 zip dry fit long sleeve training shirt. Very comfortable and a great way to share your love and spirit for our team! Please send me an email at tracy.saperstein@gmail.com and use the subject line AWF 1/4 zip. I'll email you the details:)

    Happy Running!
    Xoxo

    October Running Highlights

    Oct 25 18

Well...the big October Highlights include being accepted on this team and learning that I'll also be running the Boston Marathon so I am officially doing Boston to Big Sur! Two Marathons! Two Coasts! Two Weeks! So now we have 52.4 miles to fill with love and prayers for all our friends and families who are survivors or angels.

My other big October Highlight was on October 7th, when I finished the Chicago Marathon...my 6th marathon...and finished with a personal best by 2 minutes and 18 seconds! Although the weather was not great for the spectators, it was fantastic for the runners!!!

Next Up: The Devil's Run. I'll be running 6.66 miles (in the pouring rain/nor'easter) through the haunted streets of Salem, MA on Saturday, October 26th! Most people will be dressed as Devils. I'm running in memory of an angel, Matty Dubuc, who fought cancer for 4 years, but unfortunately earned his angel wings 11 years ago when he was only 7 years old.

    On the Horizon...
Boston to Big Sur! Starting in Hopkinton, MA on April 15, 2019. Ending 3000 miles away in California on April 28, 2019!
